For the people who are following my posts , in my previous post, i talked about building a book-sharing application. While a book-sharing application is cool to build , but the profitability and the expected return of that app is highly questionable. So i went back to the drawing board and came up with something really cool this time!
What’s The Idea bro?
To explain the idea , let me first give you some examples in order to illustrate it better:
Flipkart:
For the people who don’t know what flipkart is, It is an online E-commerce website pretty much similar to Amazon. Now even a big company like flipkart does not do everything on its own. For instance, flipkart partners with “delhivery” for its courier services.
AWS:
Almost all the companies now use AWS services for storage and compute power instead of racking up physical servers and maintaining and scaling them on their own.
Bulk SMS Services:
Bulk SMS services like EZ texting and TextLocal are used by many different companies in order to advertise and market their products.
E-commerce Payment Solutions:
Companies today partner with paypal, Stripe and SeurePay to provide secure Payment gateways for their transactions.
Point being that the businesses of today are highly interdependent and thrive off by outsourcing parts of their business to an agency which is the best in the market, thereby leaving the companies to just focus on their core competencies.
The Idea is to create a platform to allow the businesses to make a fair comparison of the various services out there based on different metrics such as pricing, features etc.
While other businesses can put up their value propositions and thus compete for the customer base.
Example :
I own a marketing business. My goal is to reach a million users through mobile advertising. In order to do so , i go to this platform and search for all the Bulk SMS Services out there and right away start to compare them based on my needs and their offerings.
While on the other hand, new SMS Services companies can list their offerings and than compete with the others by providing a better value proposition.
Other Updates:
I will be working on this project with my brother, Gautam Jain, founder of lystOf.com
Our work of action will be focused on building a really basic version as quickly as possible and than validating the potential of the idea first. So in the coming weeks, we will be doing that precisely!.
