Welcome back to my 2nd weekly blog post update, where i will share what all was done since the last weekend i left my job!. If you did not read the first post, than here is the link for it:

The Idea!

The Idea is to build a Book-Sharing application. Now almost all of us are part of some community , organisation , company or a club. Let’s say Sid works in Google. Now, he wants to read a book on Startups — “Zero to One”, by Peter Theil, so he just goes to Amazon and buys the book. Also, Ria works at google ,who happens to have this exact book!. Wouldn’t it be great if Sid can borrow that book from Ria?

The Entry point of the User in the app will be through creating a group for his organisation or club or company. Example: Sid will create a group “Book Lovers @Googlers ”. He will than send the invite link to the googlers (including Ria). The Group will have a public Library where members will provide the details of books they are willing to share. So , than Sid can look up for the person who has the book he wants and request to have that book. Ria will than bring the book on their next meet.

Design

To make the UI for the app, i used Figma. Figma is an awesome collaborative Ui designing tool , that will also generate CSS for you. For the time Being i have not designed a resposive layout, rather i have designed separate layouts for mobile and Desktop.

Groups Tab
After selecting a particular group from the above listed groups.
Mobile View.

Next What?

For the next part i will be making these designs responsive in Figma using layout Grids, so that i can use the CSS generated directly when i develop the frontend.

Also next week will be a little unproductive as i am having a small reunion with my college friends and we are going to lonavala , a hill station near Pune, India. But i will try to finish as much as i can. So Stay tuned for week 3 update!.
